Here are some Energy Conservation tips for use at work and at home:
Tip... Try hanging your laundry the old fashioned way: on the line to dry. The summer months are a great time to try this as it will save energy and keep your house cooler. Not only that, but you might be surprised by how fast they dry.
Tip... A good way to keep your house cool on hot days (especially if no one is home all day) is to close all the doors and windows, as well as all the blinds and drapes. This way the sun can't warm your house and you won’t have to run the air conditioner as much.
Tip... Replace porch and entrance lights with 'motion sensor' lights containing lower wattage bulbs.
Tip... Install a digital thermostat in your home. It is automatically programmed with an Energy Star proven energy savings program. You will save on your heating bill without even thinking about it!
Tip... Turn off the lights any time you leave a room.
